UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2024/2025 SEMI-FINALS REPORT

Semi-finals usually hype up the atmosphere for both fans and teams, and rarely leaves everyone disappointed. What if I told you, this year’s semi-finals have managed to do both? Inter vs. Barca produced some of the finest football the Champions League has seen this season, and Arsenal were humiliated by a really good PSG side and left out of the “English clubs playing European finals in 2025” gang. It really was an interesting sight to behold in all honesty. I was going to post this report earlier today, but I was waiting for the club’s official Youtube pages to post extended highlights (they didn’t), and I was watching Man United’s 2nd leg against Athletic Bilbao. That last one, was a really good match. We’ll be facing Spurs on Bilbao’s home turf on May 21st.

The UEFA Champions League Semi-Finals. What really went down, is what we want to know and quickly catch up to date with everything about said games…

INTER vs. BARCA

First Leg: 3-3

Second Leg: 4-3 for Inter

Inter wins 7-6 on aggregate

Want to talk about an epic semi-finals match? WELL HOW ABOUT TWO OF THEM?

Barca and Inter produced, quite honestly, the best football people have seen in a very long time. Hansi Flick and Simone Inzaghi breathe soul into their teams, which explains why there was lots of drama and action.

In terms of players, this was really a duel between Inter’s Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Barca’s Lamine Yamal. Both players produced magic on the pitch that left people with their mouths wide open.

The first leg was almost in Inter’s favour, but an unlucky Yann Sommer made the score 3-3 instead of 3-2.

The second leg was more promising for Inter… That is until Barca quickly scored two goals between the 55th and 65th minute, thanks to Garcia and Olmo. Raphina’s strike was surely the goal to send Barca to the Final of the Champions League, as it was a really good one and did signal to everyone that Barca are indeed one of-

FRANCESCO ACREBI WITH THE EQUALISER IN THE 93rd MINUTE OF STOPPAGE TIME!!!

This goal of his shattered all expectations. Hearts were torn apart, rivers of tears were cried out and the Red in Barcelona became Black. BARCELONA WAS COVERED IN THE COLOURS OF I NERAZZURI!!!

That goal alone didn’t mean Inter advanced to the final, they still had to score another one to win it.

E fu Davide Frattesi a mandare la sua squadra a Monaco (di Baveria... WTF ITALIAN???)

PARIS vs. NORTH LONDON

First Leg: 1-0 for PSG

Second Leg: 2-1 for PSG

PSG wins 3-1 on aggregate

PSG were just the better team, overall. Like they played better, were more aggressive and had the passion and desire to reach the final more so than the “Coomers”.

Barca’s rejected child, Dembele, despite being on fire this season, and securing the win in the first leg, he was strangely absent from the second leg, until he was substituted on in the 70th minute.

Hakimi and Ruiz scored for PSG, while Saka for Arsenal. But that late goal of his didn’t create much hope, as Arsenal fans might have you to believe.

TRUST THE PROCESS!!! He said, as his team lost their place in the final and are in danger of losing their second place streak in the Prem…

The image belongs to UEFA, of course.

I dunno how to feel about this. On one hand, I kind of want PSG to win it, but on the other hand, Inter have been robbed of it in recent times (looking at that final in ’23), so they also deserve it. And should Inter win it, it will be fun writing a portion or two of the report in Italian.

Also that promo banner looks like dogshit. That blurry thing in front of the players is ruining it a bit.

Well that’ll do it for now. If I have the time, I’ll write something different.

Until next time
