It’s the end of
the month, and you know that means: REPORT TIME, BABY!!!! During the second
half of the month, while I was watching over matches and writing down what to
say, I was sucked into playing Tomb Raider I-III Remastered trilogy to the
point where I completely forgot to start preparing for an upcoming game review.
To summarise my time with the remaster, it’s been great. There are issues, but
not big enough to hinder the experience. I might make a review of the
collection in the near future. All in all, things are not all gloomy and doomy as I will pick up the
slack and gather enough material to start my review of the game that was teased
in my Tomb Raider III review.
Now let’s get moving
to the report of February. WHAT A MONTH! It was actually exciting to watch all
matches. Plenty of thrills and upsets, shocking performances, and huge
surprises. Let’s see what happened in February…
Contender for
match of the season. This one was wild!
Rashford and
Højlund scored in the 5th and 22nd minute respectively,
and United were pushing in for a 3rd, but that just didn’t happen in
the first half. Second however, “The Wolves” started to hunt down their hunter.
Pablo Sarabia bit “The Red Devils” from the white spot in the 71st
minute. Then McTominay struck back in the 75th. Kilman caught on
with the red squad in the 85th minute and Pedro Neto finished it off
in the 95th. Wolverhampton were able to chase down their guests and
deny them their victory… IS WHAT I WOULD’VE SAID IF KOBBIE MAINOO DIDN’T SHUSH
THEM DOWN IN THE DYING MOMENTS OF THE GAME!!! WHAT A MADLAD, THAT ONE!!!
So yeah. Pretty
good game. Shame that shit can’t be said for our defeat on home grounds against
Fulham. I just pray we finish Top 4 as a possible way to salvage this shitshow
of a season.
NEWCASTLE vs. LUTON
This team just
cannot catch a break. It’s like someone’s put a curse on them to barely be able
to scrape a point.
I mean take a
look at their match against Newcastle: They concede two goals early on, then
they respond with additional two, then another two goals in the second half.
2-4 is the score so far. All they have to do is either defend or push for a 5th.
Nope. Nada.
Trippier in the 67th minute and Barnes in the 73rd minute
equalise and the game ends after a few minutes.
I really want
Luton to stay in the League. They have the capacity to do so much. It actually
pains me to see them like this. I respect Nottingham Forest, but lads, please…
Drop a few points so Luton can stay up.
ARSENAL vs. LIVERPOOL
The first huge
match of the month. And it went as expected… With Arsenal humiliating Liverpool.
Saka scored the
first goal of the game, followed by Magalhaes in the 45th (although
he scored for the wrong team). Then Martinelli in the 67th, and
finally, all hopes for equalising were tarnished by Kiwior and Trossard, with
the former assisting in the tarnishing.
Brilliant play
by “The Gunners”. Outperformed the reds with pure and elegant class. And sadly
due to a bad foul, Konate was shown a 2nd yellow, meaning he
received a red in the 88th minute and walked alone home.
I would like to
point out that this is a cheeky banter on my side because trying to make a
comeback in the 90th minute or in stoppage time is impossible to do…
Unless you’re Manchester United, of course.
MAN CITY vs. CHELSEA
I WAS EXPECTING
A COMEDY SHOW! NOT AN EPIC MATCH!!!
Leave it to
Chelsea to make the biggest surprise of the month. Given their mediocre
performance with their $1 billion team, everyone is seeing Chelsea as an easy
target to win games against, use them as a warm-up for bigger games, or just
mock them. Huge percentage falls in the last category.
Now Sterling scoring
in the 42nd minute (assisted by Nicolas Jackson) is fine on its own,
but having Chelsea defend and attack was NOT FINE. We’re used to seeing Chelsea
stumble left and right, being humiliated by everyone, the players playing
without passion. But this Chelsea was quite different. They really wanted to
slow down the current champions of England with everything they had.
And they almost
succeeded, had it not been for Rodri and those meddling “citizens”.
Did I forget to mention that Haaland missed every chance he had and that I lied about Chelsea playing well?
Did I also forget to mention Chelsea lost the Carabao Cup final to 12 year olds?
SHEFFIELD UTD vs.
BRIGHTON
R.I.P.
Sheffield. Sent to The Championship too soon…
STANDINGS
I honestly
enjoyed this month’s fixtures. They were fun and exciting. Let’s hope March
will give us even better games than the ones we had.
Oh and I do
promise that my upcoming review is in the works. I just gotta finish the last
few levels of the Remastered collection before doing it.
