UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SEMI FINALS FIRST LEG

THE SEMIS ARE HERE!

4 teams duke it off against one another, in 4 games that are 1 week away from each other, but only 2 can make it to the promised land.

Manchester City, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Villareal are in front of the gates of the divine. City vs Real, and Liverpool vs Villarreal. Who's gonna take the 1st leg? Let's see what happened now, shall we?

Manchester City vs Real Madrid

HOLY SHITBALLS!!! SEMIS START OFF WITH A BANG!!!

THE FIRST GOD DAMN GAME OF THE SEMIS, AND IT WAS A BLAST!!!

City welcomed Madrid with open arms. City, who have been on a wild run as of the last few games, and have a worthy adversary to help them grow strong (Liverpool), were more than ready to face "Los Blancos" in a duel that transcends the concept of life and death.

Real Madrid on the other hand, have been slaying LaLiga Santander. Winning games left and right, striking fear into the league itself. Outside of Spain, they have been all over the place in the Champions League. Wins, losses, draws. They had it all.

Both sides have good players, such as: De Bruyne, Sane, Jesus for City; Kroos, Modric, Benzema for Madrid.

First half saw goals from De Bruyne, Jesus and Benzema (cracker volley goal from him). Second half saw more. Participants were: Foden, Vinicius Junior, Silva and Benzema again.

The teams were going out all out attack. Both halves. And the result shows this.

Next week is the big one for these guys. City have the advantage, but will they make it to the final? Or will Real Madrid pull off a miracle and make a comeback?

Insane game! Props go to both sides...

Liverpool vs Villareal

A nice end for a nice game...

The second game of the first leg took place in Liverpool. Villarreal took on England's current giants with everything they had.

Liverpool have been on a wild run, just like Manchester City. Winning games both at home and away. And with a line up that is strong due to a good captain, but also a great manager, it's no wonder how they do things.

Villarreal on the other hand are a mixed bag. Whilst in Europe they have been proving to be good, back home, things aren't looking great. 7th place in LaLiga, but semis in the Champions League. Bizarre team.

The game: - First half was dominated by Liverpool. Chances for them to score a fuck ton of goals were HIGH. Sadly, nothing happened.
                  - Second half saw an unlucky Estupinan score an own goal in the 53rd minute, only to be followed by a wonderful through ball from Salah to Mane to make the score 2-0.

Liverpool dominated the game, so not much going on about that. Villarreal will need a miracle if they want to win the 2nd leg and reach the final...

"The Yellow Submarine" will need some motivation if they want to at least make a mark in the semis...

What?
That's it! Expect a matchweek report tomorrow.

Until tomorrow
