PREMIER LEAGUE MATCHWEEK 31 & 32 REPORT

These last 2 matchweeks were so close to one another that doing a report on both seems like the best solution. On top of that, all 20 teams played their matches without cancelations (with the exception of Everton). This means that I’ll just give a brief report on the teams’ performance during these 2 matchweeks, so no match reports unfortunately. Highlights of some of the games will be posted at the end, so don’t worry about that.

Without further ado, let’s- WAIT!!!

The listing will go from bottom to top. Meaning we start off with:

Norwich, Watford & Burnley

From the bottom 3, the worst of the bunch (and also the best surprisingly) is Norwich, with their last 2 games ending up being okay. A draw against Brighton, and a win against Burnley, they still have no chance of escaping the bottom. Watford lost twice. First against Liverpool; then against Leeds United. And Burnley won against Everton and lost against Norwich.

Talk about shit luck for Burnley…

Everton

“The Toffees” are in the pickle. 17th in the standings, bad performance not just in their last 2 games, but the whole season, finds the blue side of Liverpool on the verge of relegation.

A loss against Burnley (3-2) and a FUCKING WIN AGAINST FUCKING MANCHESTER UNITED, sees them stand 4 points above 18th placed Burnley. To say that we helped them avoid a serious defeat is an understatement…

Leeds United

Leeds are also in danger from being relegated, but can make a comeback and avoid the bottom 5 or bottom 6, should they do well in their next matches, The last 2 games were pretty decent. A draw and a win saw them boosting away from 17th placed Everton, and catching up with the teams above them.

A 1-1 draw versus Southampton and a 3-0 win against Watford saw them collect a total of 4 points, when added to their total, 33 points.

Newcastle United

Newcastle are in an n interesting spot. 15th, 34 points in total, and 1 win can skyrocket them out of the bottom 6.

Got their ass kicked by Spurs in the 1st game, and in the 2nd, won with 1-0 against Wolverhampton. Overall, they are doing fine, but will they escape the bottom 6?

Southampton, Brentford & Aston Villa

These 3 boys will be put together because of their fair share of points. The teams share their 36 points with care and unconditional consistent love, UNLIKE THEIR GAMES!

The best team of the bunch is Brentford, with 2 impressive wins (one against Chelsea, the other against West Ham United). Southampton being the middle with the fixtures, but the worst of the bunch. A draw and a loss didn’t do them any good. Aston Villa is the best, but 2 losses is a HUGE threat for them.

They really slipped in these last 2 games, let me tell you…

Brighton & Crystal Palace

Yet another bunch where they are put together due to their share of points. Crystal is the leader of the bottom half of the “Prem”, and Brighton is not that far off form overtaking them.

Brighton’s venture in the last 2 matchweeks has been an eventful one. Their win against Arsenal is the better of the two, whereas the game against Norwich was a draw. For Palace, same story. A win against “The Gunners”. A 3-0 win in fact. Sadly, this was followed with a loss from Leicester, who…

Leicester

Are the team that are part of the top half of the league, and have been doing alright for themselves in the last few games. They have quite a few wins in the last few games, and their last 5 matches have ended up good.

A draw against Manchester United and a win against Palace sees them at the 9th position of the league. They are way behind the 8th team of the table, and reaching them will be a challenge.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

Literally the underdogs of the League. Playing amazing football, leaving positive notes after each game, and being 8th in the League is awesome!

Even their last 2 games speak for themselves. A 1-0 loss isn’t that big of a deal, but that 2-1 win against Aston Villa is quite something.

Being a Wolverhampton fan must be a wonderful feeling. Keep it up Wolves! You are honestly fantastic!

Manchester United

FUCK THIS TEAM!!!

West Ham United

“The Irons” are yet another team that has been fantastic this season. Their record is either positive or a negative, or better put: LWLWL. Even with this pattern of wins and losses, they are 6th and are kicking ass and chewing bubble gum.

Won against: Everton
Lost against: Brentford

Will they reach the top 5? Chances are VERY high that they’ll do…

Arsenal

Arsenal?

More like AR5ENAL! Am I rite?

Anyways, two losses, this team suffered. First from Crystal Palace, second from Brighton.

Actually fuck it, change the name to AR5ENALL…

Tottenham Hotspur

Their form as of right now is scary. They’re on their win to have a 5-match win streak, should they win their next game against Brighton.

A 5-1 win against Newcastle, followed with a 4-0 win against Villa sees Spurs sitting comfortable at 4th for the time being. They are closing in on Chelsea, who are currently 3rd, and with the same performance as the North Londoners.

Chelsea

Similar story like Spurs. Nothing much to write about.

Only memorable thing they have from these 2 matchweeks is their 6-0 win against Southampton…

Liverpool & Manchester City

These two… These fucking beasts… They are chasing one another for the title race. No one can stop them, no one can draw them. In fact, they are the definition of “Unstoppable object vs. Immovable Force”.

Matchweek 32 was ended with their clash. A 2-2 draw at Etihad Stadium. The battle was like that of the Chinese Dragon and the Chinese Tiger. Two opposing sides that are an equal match. One used sheer force, the other quick wits.

Their skill satisfied neither. Their fight continues…

And to conclude this post...

I have no idea what to say...

So until next time
