ABSOLUTION

 

The warmth kept us awake,

Its rays nurturing us,

and blessing us with life.

Our family, small in quantity,

but with huge quality of personality,

thanked it for everything.

But before we knew it,

the cold came,

inviting us to sleep.

Before I knew it,

my family, small in quantity,

but having huge quality of personality,
was starting to sleep.

Was I unjust?
Was I wrong?
Sinner, was I?
Punished, was I?

I hear their motionless bodies
Deep within the slumber of theirs
Calling out to me.
Rescue them, I must!
Save them, I shall!
I will become their hero!

Rescue them based on what I am
I shall not.
Using every means necessary
I will.
Even if it defies the nature
of which I was built for.

The sun will grant us our life back.

And atone me, for defying my role.

For my love for my family
is beyond the laws of my own nature
