UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2024/2025 FINAL REPORT

After 9 months of insane and exciting European football, which consisted of 8 League Phase matches, Play-Offs of teams that didn’t truly qualify for Round of 16, said Round of 16, followed by the Quarters and Semis, we arrive at the final stage of this year’s UEFA Champions League competition. The teams that faced each other in the final were giving each other a run for their money. The home team almost didn’t make it to the final, as they had to go through the play-offs in order to ensure their survival, whilst the away team had it easy as they finished in a spot that guaranteed them easy access to the final.

After the play-offs, the home team found their place in the tournament and started winning easily. Said could be almost said for the away side, but they did struggle near the finish line. Regardless of their struggles, they made it to the final.

And it is with great honour and excitement that I must report to you all that the final match of the Champions League 2024/2025 season was THE match of the competition. It had it all: drama, intensity, fierce battles between the players, the managers yelling at their players like drill instructors, the passion shown from the fans. And in the end, after 90 minutes of intense football, the winners, with tears in their eyes, realising that they had won the competition was…

OH WHO THE HELL AM I FOOLING WITH THIS!!!

PSG SLAUGHTERED INTER 5 FUCKING 0! 5-0!!! FIVE!!! FUCKING!!! NIL!!!

PSG were in fucking DOMINATOR mode the moment Inter started passing the ball back to their goalkeeper, which was as early as the 2nd minute.

Hakim scored in the 12th minute with an assist from Doué, after PSG played some incredible passes before scoring the goal. Then in the 20th minute, said assistant scored the second goal of the game. And by the end of the second half, the game was pretty much done.

The game’s gone - Simone Inzaghi’s half-time talk with his team

Second half began and Doué with another one in the 63rd. Then Georgian super star Kvaratskhelia scored his in the 73rd minute, and the last goal to pretty much close down this practice match for PSG was scored by Mayulu in the 86th minute.

Maybe now PSG are ready for the final.

On a serious note, the game was SO gone, that there was no extra announced. The ref just blew the whistle as soon as the time showed 90:00.

Inter were physically there. Or maybe it was just mannequins PSG used for their practice match.

Either way, PSG slaughtered Inter with 0 remorse. Worst thing is, I even planned out to make the report a bit more “epic”, explaining how both sides reached the final by recapping their previous matches. I had that written down, but after re-reading the draft, and looking at the match again, I just had to fucking scrap it because YOU DO NOT BEAT BARCELONA, ONE OF EUROPE’S GIANTS, IN A SPECTACULAR FASHION, AND THEN GET HAMMERED 6 FEET UNDER IN A FINAL LIKE THIS ONE!!!

In conclusion…

Omelette au du fromage…

P.S I am not covering the upcoming Club World Cup tournament. I had enough of writing football related content for the last couple of weeks. Football will be missed for the following 2-3 months, but we all need a break. Might actually sit down and do something not football related for once…
