March has not been an easy month for me,
and everyone else because of two reasons. Firstly, because the month is the
darkest for my family. We lost a very important person a long time ago, that
his death still has an impact on us to this day. The other is because none of
the games that happened in the Prem were that fun. They were actually quite
shit in all honesty. I am not going to place Arsenal’s 6-0 win over Sheffield
United. I just simply won’t. If it weren’t for Matchweek 30, I wouldn’t have
written a full report on the most notable matches of the month. At least during
the final weekend of March, Easter happened, so, the month ended on a HUGE
positive note.
As for why I didn’t post this on Monday:
I was just lazy. That’s the April fool’s joke. I was too lazy to write this…
CHELSEA vs. BURNLEY
Here’s a good problem regarding on the
subject of Logic: HOW DO YOU, A CLUB THAT HAS A LOT OF MONEY, SUPPOSEDLY GOOD
QUALITY PLAYERS, AND HAS OVERALL BETTER STANDARDS THAN YOUR OPPONENT, WHO IN
THIS CASE, ARE NEAR AT THE BOTTOM, CAN’T WIN GAMES, FIGHT FOR SURVIVAL… FAIL
TO BEAT THEM???? EVEN WITH 2 OF THEIR PLAYERS SENT OFF IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE
GAME?!?!?!?
NEWCASTLE vs. WEST HAM
An epic game where the rich devoured the
hardworking man. And now, it has nothing to do with communism or capitalism, it’s
just how the clubs are.
Isak scored early on in the 6th
minute through a penalty. But Newcastle’s lead was quickly ruined by Michail
Antonio in the 21st minute (with an assist from Lucas Paqueta). Then
more trouble followed, as West Ham put a huge gap in the lead with goals from
Kudus (45+9th minute) and Bowen (48th minute).
But you know how they say to never give
up. Well Isak sure didn’t. He, alongside Harvey Barnes, grabbed Newcastle, and
whilst running towards the big W and those sweet 3 points, used West Ham’s own
hammers to pop up their bubbles and make them cry. A stunning 4-3 comeback win.
West
Ham are still above them though…
BOURNEMOUTH vs. EVERTON
Cherries > Caramel
Everton are not only in the mud because
of the point deduction, but because… Well their form in the last 2 years has
been awful. Imagine losing to a team that plays boring football.
Bournemouth’s Solanke scored in the 64th
minute. But then, Merseyside Blue’s Beto, in the 87th minute
equalised. This may have been it. Everton might have won it! Or might have
ended it in a draw. Either way, a point might’ve been secured.
AND THEN IT HAPPENED! COLEMAN SCORED AND
THOSE VERY MUCH NEEDED 3 POINTS WERE THEIRS!!! AND THE CROWS WENT WILD!!!
Because the poor man scored an own goal
and practically gave away the victory over to “The Cherries”. Great work,
Coleman! Keep it up!
BRENTFORD vs. MAN
UNITED
GGMU (Ghastly Gruesome Man United)
LIVERPOOL vs. BRIGHTON
I was going to put Man City vs. Arsenal
here instead of these 2 port cities, but we all know how that game went down.
For those who don’t know, one of the more important games of the season
finished 0-0 with both teams playing like absolute shite.
This did give Liverpool the chance to
take advantage of the draw and beat Brighton to reclaim the 1st
place of the League (at the time of writing and publishing this, they’re now 2nd).
But this was a hard game for them
surprisingly. Big boy Welbeck opened the game with his goal in the 2nd
minute.
25 minutes later, Diaz equalised, and Mo
Salah, with an incredible assist from Mac Alister, finished it off in the
second half, the 65th minute to be more accurate.
Throughout the game, Liverpool had a
hard time breaching their opponent’s defence, and as a result, played like a
mid-table team.
But Mac Alister man. A very good signing
for the lousy scousers…
STANDINGS
Let’s hope April has some epic results,
as the month is stacked with epic games, both from the domestic side and the
European side. The Quarter-Finals are about to be played in a few weeks, so a
report on that will be published as soon as they’re done.
Can we regain our former glory and actually become
feared? I’m sceptical and doubtful. But, a tiny hope still believes it’s
possible…
