UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE MATCHDAY 5 REPORT

Matchday 5 has brought us what's possibly the final results of the group stages

We're at the end with the group stages of the 2021-2022 season of the UEFA Champions League, and thing could not be any more intense. Majority of the teams have managed to secure their places for Round of 16 with ease. But not all of the majority managed to get there that easy. Some have a huge gap from others, and some might want to watch their backs, in case things go wrong.
And since the teams have done their job, I figured that this time around, I should just mention a couple of words for the teams that have secured their spot for the next round. The standings will be posted as well, so don't worry about it...

Group A: Manchester City and PSG

It's quite ironic that I place these two here, considering that they played each other last night (November 24th) and City managed to make a fantastic comeback to deny PSG from reaching 1st place in the group. 2-1 ended the score, and City came back home happy, and PSG were left to think about how they messed things up.
As for the teams in general, they have proved to be quite good. City being the best of the duo, with 4 wins and 1 defeat, and 12 points as of now, they rightfully claimed the crown as reining leaders of Group A, with PSG in 2nd place, with 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss. However, the Parisian team can neither surpass nor be surpassed, as they have 8 points, and the team behind them has 4.
Overall, solid group leaders, but the future is always mysterious. Anything can happen to these two...

Group B: Liverpool

Yeah, about Group B, I have nothing to write here. Only thing that I should mention is that Liverpool destroyed the entirety of the group with ease. As if the team itself is some sort of a Group B rally car, and those things are infamous for being extremely fast and uncontrollable, to the point of causing horrible accidents that result in the death of the driver and the co-driver. Except in this case, Liverpool delivered Death to the poor victims, who are (by order of standings): Porto, Milan and Atletico...

Group C: Ajax

In a rather positive turn of events, we have what is perhaps the good guys of the tournament doing what good guys are doing all the time: defeating their opponents whilst showing humility and respect. That's Ajax's best description I can give. The Dutch side, while not as strong as the rest of the teams, have shown that they have a victorious spirit that is guiding them to victory. Every game that they have played thus far has resulted in a win. With 5 wins out of 6, they can either give the others a point or three, or conclude their group stage adventure with a perfect 100% win ratio...

Group D: Real Madrid and Inter

Struggles, struggles, struggles. That's how this group's top 2 can be best described as. Real Madrid had a rough start, whereas Inter had it even rougher.
"Los Blancos" may have 12 points and 0 draws, but that 1 single loss from Sheriff made things hard for them. Meanwhile, "I Nerazzuri" had their own share of problems as well, mainly from the team that's above them and the team that's bellow them (which is Sheriff). 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. But hopes of finishing first are not all out, as they are playing Real in the next match. Should they beat Real Madrid, they will end up as leaders of the group...

Group E: Bayern Munich

In a thick German accent: GERMAN FUSBALL IS ZE GREATEST IN ZE WORLD!!!
That's it. That's all I have for this group...

Group F: Manchester United

Oh boy! This fucking group. The "F" in this case is a reference to all the fuckery I had to fully endure whenever my so called "fantastic" team played in the Champions League. Finishing games with scores and statistics all over the place, Manchester United somehow managed to not fail. 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss, that leads us to... 10 points in total. Frankly speaking, it was really frustrating watching them play. But with a new temporary manager being hunted on the horizon, I am not quite sure what to expect from my beloved team. A horrible fail? Or a bright future, where we win the damn thing...

Group G: Anybody's guess

This group... This darn group... So boring that I don't even feel like writing anything about it. It's anybody's guess about who will continue forward. Although, the combination of 8,7,6 and 5 is funny though...

Group H: Chelsea and Juventus

Finally, we're concluding the confirmed Round of 16 survivors with "The Blues" and "The Old Lady", who managed to pretty much end up being equal rivals to one another. Both sides ended up sharing their wins and losses (4 wins and 1 loss) and points (12 points), but because Chelsea has a better goal difference than Juventus, they are the group's leaders. But time will tell...

And with this, I'm concluding my matchday 5 report. A rather interesting take on how I usually write about my Champions League posts, but it was quite fun doing it. Next time, on matchday 6, I'll do the same thing, but with the secondary teams that have fully managed to secure their place for Round of 16.

Also I am publishing this super late because I've been having problems throughout the whole day, mainly with my muscles and me taking a long ass nap.

See you probably tomorrow or on Sunday
Lord Slayer...
