PREMIER LEAGUE MATCHWEEK 2 REPORT

I would like to start by apologizing for writing this report a bit late. I got caught up with an exam and spent the time focusing on that. The good news is that I passed it. Second reason is that I was waiting for the matchweek to end before tackling the report. And now that it is over, it's time to quickly sum up what happened...

Manchester City vs Norwich

City are at it again

Manchester City has returned to form with their 5-0 win against Norwich. The game opened with an own goal, scored by the Norwich keeper, Tim Kurl. Afterwards, the newly signed Jack Grealish scored his debut goal, making happy both himself and City fans alike. As for the rest of the game, there's nothing much to write home about. It was City demolishing their opponents like they were training for a Champions league match.
A spectacular start for Jack's City career.

Liverpool vs Burnley

69th minute? Nice.

"The Scousers" continue their start of the season with another win, but not by much this time around. Their match against Burnley was a fair one, but a far cry from their win against Norwich, whom they beat 3-0. And now said defeated opponents conceded two additional goals. Maybe next game they will allow for 2 more?
But anyhow, Liverpool brought themselves and the fans the 3 points, thanks to the goals from Jota and Sadio. And I have to mention it again: 69th minute. Nice one, even though I hate you with a burning passion, a win is a win.
Liverpool's win in front of their returning fans. A nice gift to be quite honest.

Chelsea vs Arsenal

Arsenal FC is now my favorite comedy show on TV right now

WHEN WILL THESE BOYS LEARN HOW TO WIN?!?!? A second tragic defeat for Mikel Arteta's side, only this time, it was on their home ground. Are they trying to get themselves relegated? Or are they trying to fool everyone by thinking they have become weak, only for then to strike when least expected? Conspiracy theory, this might be. But still, 2 in a row for "The Gunners".
Meanwhile, Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea are doing pretty well for themselves. They have won their opening game, and have painted London in blue, with two goals from James and their "new" player, Romelu Lukaku, who he seems to be interested in demolishing some teams this season. A player to watch out for.
The Belgium striker came back with a bang. What was "The Special One" thinking when he sold him all those years ago?

Southampton vs Manchester United

We're moving a bit mad now, aren't we?

Unfortunately, things cannot be said about my beloved United, as they have failed to earn 3 points from their game against Southampton. Were there chances? YES! Were there goals? YES!! Were there doubts for ending the game with a win? ABSOLUTELY!!!
Ole was unable to provide the players and the fans with a wonderful Sunday, as we managed to score 2 goals this time around, instead of 5. Yes! You read that right. 2 goals. One for Southampton and one for us. Manchester must have felt a bit generous and decided to help "The Saints" find the net.
After all, this is the team that we thrashed 9-0 last season. Hell, the highlights for that game were uploaded on sites such as PornHub, RedTube, and many others; but those sites removed non-verified videos, so all of them are gone now. It's sad I know.
A really disappointing game from "The Red Devils". I hope we can get ourselves a big W next game.

West Ham United vs Leicester City

Oh my! The 2016 champions got wrecked HARD!!!

This game was a good one. REALLY good. "The Hammers" vs "The Fox". And it ended up with the hammers beating up the poor lil' ol' fox. Poor Leicester. They just couldn't escape from the banging that was delivered by Moyes' West Ham. It got even worse when they conceded a goal in the 69th minute from Leicester's Tielemans. I'd say nice cause of 69, but, what happened after was NOT nice. Michail Antonio scored 2 goals in the span of 4 minutes. 80th and 84th minute to be exact. With that in mind, they doubled their lead and sky rocketed themselves to 1st place on the table, and left Leicester down in the 12th position.
Ouch! "The Foxes" will need to work hard to get back on the track. Congrats to West Ham by the way. A well earned win.

STANDINGS

Arsenal at the bottom reminds me of the time when they actually got relegated during my time with FIFA 08's "Manager Mode".

That would wrap up matchweek 2. Biggest shockers were Arsenal, City and West Ham. The former with their 2nd loss of the season, and City and West Ham with their big wins and well earned 3 points, AND West Ham boosting themselves to the top of the table. And the good news is that next matchweek will be reported by the end of this week, since it will take place on Saturday and Sunday. No Monday this time around. And thank God! Because it will be a busy week for me with various exams and what not. Do I look forward to it? NO! Will it be easy? NO!! Will Arsenal get their arse kicked and United win a game? ABSOLUTELY YES!!!

See you at the weekend...
Lord Slayer
